COSO dry lake

   FROM: Inyokern - Hwy 14 and 178 (Ridgecrest turnoff) junction

   Go northbound on Hwy 14 (it will become Hwy 395 after a few miles) for
   28.7 miles to the Coso rest area, on the right (east) side

   Or

   FROM: Cindercone dry lake turnoff, continue northbound on Hwy 395 for 4.8
   miles to the Coso rest area, on the right (east) side

   Turn right (east) onto dirt road.

   Follow road as it turns south, go under some powerlines, for a total
   distance of 1 mile to the lakebed

   NOTES: 700 east/west

   1000north/south

   powerlines approximately 100 yards west of the lake

   Cindercone better choice
